With 515 days remaining until the opening match of the Women’s World Cup in Brazil, FIFA officially unveiled the tournament’s emblem and slogan during a high-profile event in Rio de Janeiro this Sunday. The new visual identity marks a significant milestone as Brazil prepares to host the world from June 4 to July 25, 2027.

The tournament’s logo features a sophisticated geometric design that combines the letters “M” (representing Mulher in Portuguese) and “W” (for Woman and World in English). The resulting rhombus shape serves as a direct tribute to the Brazilian flag and the symmetry of a soccer pitch, with the iconic World Cup trophy positioned at its center.

Impact: The "GO EPIC™" slogan and a visually symbolic emblem inspired by the Brazilian flag set the stage for the tournament’s South American debut.

Accompanied by the slogan “GO EPIC™,” the brand identity is supported by a new sonic theme inspired by traditional Brazilian rhythms, samba percussion, and Afro-Brazilian heritage, aimed at creating an immersive cultural experience for global fans.

A Historic Moment for Global Soccer FIFA President Gianni Infantino led the ceremony, joined by prominent sports authorities and icons from both the men’s and women’s game. “Brazil lives and breathes soccer, and you can already feel the excitement here,” Infantino stated. “The country is preparing to welcome the world and host a truly historic event.”

The launch featured legendary former player Formiga, currently the Director of Soccer Policies at the Ministry of Sport, alongside active star Cris Rozeira. Their presence emphasized the ongoing transformation of the women’s game in South America.

“I hope that we can bring fans closer to women’s soccer and, day by day, transform the structure of the game,” Formiga highlighted, pointing to the social and professional impact the tournament is expected to have.

Unity Across the Sport To demonstrate institutional support from the men’s side, World Cup winners Cafu and Ronaldo Nazário were also in attendance. Cafu, who captained Brazil’s 2002 championship team, expressed his pride: “I think we deserved to host the World Cup in our country, considering everything these athletes have done to make this moment possible. When conditions were precarious, you helped make women’s soccer recognized worldwide. Today is your day.”

As Brazil gears up for 2027, the event also served as a bridge to the 2026 Men’s World Cup, with Infantino reaffirming FIFA’s goal of using soccer as a tool for global unity and joy.
